When the makers decided to do the remake of the blockbuster film Queen, Nayanthara was their first choice, and they offered a role to her. Nayanthara was just the perfect actress for this role, according to actor-producer Thyagarajan. Nayanthara rejected the role as she was busy with her other films. Thyagarajan offered her more money to do this role but then too rejected as she was not feeling to do this role as the film as same as the original. Later on, the role was offered to Trisha Krishnan, and she too rejected to work in this movie and to play the role.
