Swastika Mukherjee belongs to a Bengali Mukherjee family. She is the daughter of Late Santu Mukherjee who was a well-known Bengali film actor. She led a quiet simple life. She started her acting career by working in television series called, ‘Devdasi’ which was a Bengali TV series. She then switched to Bengali films and started winning everyone’s hearts with her charms and acting skills. Her debut Bengali film was Hemanter Pakhi which released in 2001. She acted as a lead in another Bengali film called, ‘Mastan’ in 2004. She made her debut in Bollywood with the movie, ‘Mumbai Cutting’ back in 2008. Swastika Mukherjee’s has also played a part in, ‘Detective Bomkyesh Bakshi’ which released in 2015 was truly admirable.
She starred opposite the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the film, ‘Detective Bomkyesh Bakshi’. Another notable work of Swastika Mukherjee was in her recent Television series, ‘Paatal Lok’ that released in 2020 on the OTT platform – Amazon Prime. Swastika Mukherjee received a lot of praise for her work and acting in the show. She was also seen in the movie, ‘Dil Bechara’ where she plays the role of a mother to the female protaganist in film. Once again Swastika Mukherjee didn’t fail to prove her talent. She has truly proved her talents and worth by working hard and paving her way upward to the top of the film industry.
