Shahid Kapoor discussed his life after marriage and how he is “extremely thankful” for it as a guest on Karan Johar’s most recent episode of Koffee With Karan 7. Shahid responded, “So for me, it was really simple.” Karan Johar wondered if marrying someone from outside the film industry was a purposeful decision. “I have two completely different personalities. One is, of course, the perception that I am an actor who lives in the glitz and glamour of the fraternity. And I also have a very spiritual and domestic side to me.”

“I’m a vegetarian, and I’m quite religious. I don’t drink. I know that I have all of those things, so I’ve always had trouble finding someone who can appreciate all aspects of myself. And I really struggled with that. I was 34 years old and ready to settle down because I had been living alone for more than ten years. But just at that time, through family and friends, everything came up, but it just happened, and we met, and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. We have lovely children, and I believe she enriches my life in many ways. She also seems to balance me out and make me feel very normal. And for that, I am quite appreciative.”

Shahid responded, “I don’t know how much she perceives I have,” when KJo questioned whether he had also supported Mira in her “professional domain,” adding that she had “become a bit of a strong influencer.” “I don’t like to be extremely confrontational. I was 34 years old, and she was 20 when we got married. I had to take a very different approach as a result. She needs to be treated delicately. She arrived in Bombay after leaving everything behind. Because the film industry can be so scary and judgmental, I was quite well-established in both my field and in general. I used to occasionally feel like I knew too much and could tell her what to do and how to be. However, I used to occasionally do it out of a desire to keep her safe. This is because I’ve personally been there. I was a successful young man from Lokhandwala who, at age 21, had no idea how to act.”
Karan Johar responded by saying that Mira has “come into her own, and she understands her s***” to this. Co-star Kiara of Kabir Singh with Shahid stated, “I believe she was always. I also recall that episode’s scene with you two sitting on the couch (referring to an episode from a previous season of Koffee With Karan). She is undoubtedly one of the loveliest people, and I truly adore her. I believe she brings Shahid a lot of serenity and stability, and when he told me, “I have sensed that I have someone to go back home to, and I always wanted that,” I thought it was so beautiful. She is also one of the most beautiful people, and I truly believe she is like this fresh, warm sunshine in his life.”
