Kriti Sanon is one of the most amazing and special actresses in the Indian entertainment industry. Over the last many years, she kept slaying and having new achievements her way and the rest is history, ain’t it?
The actress was at the India Today e-Mind Rocks 2021 earlier this year where she made interesting points about being an outsider and achieving success. She was quoted by India Today saying,
“I don’t call myself an outsider anymore. I am a part of this industry. I have created a space of my own. I feel at home here. I am doing the work that I always wanted to do. People have believed in me and given me many opportunities. I call it my home, my space. I don’t want to call myself an outsider because this is my home. But yes, it has taken a while because I don’t come from a filmy background. I think it is like you come into a new world where you don’t know anyone. So, it takes time for people to know your name, to see your talent, to believe in you, and to give you opportunities outside your comfort zone. You have to take baby steps. After some time, you find people who are at the same frequency as you, who have the same beliefs, who are equally passionate. There will be people who won’t believe in you, but there will also be people who will believe you. For me, the awkwardness at film parties has been reduced, but I still don’t like going to film parties. I love hanging out with my own group.”
