Bappi Lahiri belonged to a household of musicians. His dad and mother were both accomplished and incredible musicians and vocalists.

On his mother’s side, Bappi was related to legendary singer Kishore Kumar who in return enabled him to find his way in the film enterprise.

A singer is what Bappi Lahiri always aspired to be and he learned the skills of playing the instrument tabla at the young age of three!

Bappi Lahiri was awarded by the House of Lords for his assistance to the NGO Justice for Widows.
