Julia Roberts has been lighting up Hollywood for over 30 years. The legend reflects on her three decades in the business in the current edition of Entertainment Weekly. We’re taking a stylish journey down memory lane to honor Roberts’ milestone year by reviewing some of her most memorable red carpet ensembles. Check them out in advance.
1. At the Golden Globes, 1991
Roberts was a fan of long, boxy coats in the early 1990s, which allowed her to show off her legs. In 1991, she accepted the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy (for Pretty Woman) in this pinstripe miniskirt suit, which was one of her most iconic looks.
2. At the Golden Globes, 1998
At the 1998 Golden Globes, Roberts wore a bright Todd Oldham gown and was accompanied on the red carpet by co-star Rupert Everett, who was nominated for his role in My Best Friend’s Wedding.
3. At the Oscars, 2001
Who could forget this expression? When she wore this black and white vintage (1982) Valentino gown to the 2001 Academy Awards, when she won Best Actress for her role in Erin Brockovich, she produced a fashion moment for the ages.
4. At the Oscars, 2004
Roberts wore a champagne satin gown by Giorgio Armani on the 2004 Oscars red carpet, which she accented with a pin that she revealed to InStyle was (gasp!) faux jewelry rather than real.
5. At the Oscars, 2014
Roberts walked the red carpet in Givenchy Haute Couture’s black lace bespoke gown in honor of her fourth Oscar nomination.
