Sonakshi Sinha has quite a number of good releases lined up this year. Two big ones are ‘Khandani Shafakhana’ and ‘Mission Mangal’.
Although both the films deal with two different subjects altogether, they are special in their own ways. While Khandani Shafakhana talks about dealing with the taboo of ‘sex’, ‘Mission Mangal’ deals extensively with ISRO’s successful mission to Mars. Both release in the same month of August. While ‘Khandani Shafakhana’ releases on 2nd August, alongside ‘Jabariya Jodi’, ‘Mission Mangal’ releases on 15th August.
At the ‘Baat Toh Karo’ promo launch of Khandani Shafakhana, when Sonakshi was asked the reason why she did this movie, she was quoted as saying,
” To be honest, I have consciously worked in family films before. When they initially brought this movie to me, I was a little surprised as to why me as I am known for working in family films.. But when I heard the script, I was like even if it is a little ‘hatke’, I have to do it as the script is so nice.’
Well, here’s hoping Sonakshi’s experiment works and both her films end up being big hits.
