Madhuri Dixit is currently wowing us with her amazing work in the series The Fame Game on Netflix. Her fans are happy to see her back on screen after so long. The series got on trending 1 since its release on the digital platform. And now talking of her series ‘Fame Game’ the actress revealed whether fame affected her in personal life and how her mother used to scold her before becoming famous.
Talking about it, she said, “It’s strange and yet it’s true because there are so many different avenues and when you are doing it for the first time, you are debuting. And it’s great that even after 35 years, I am debuting with something. It’s wonderful because I’m like a child, like a student of cinema. I love learning. For me, it’s a different language of making films, a different system.”
Revealing on what made her opt for the series, she said, “I liked the idea and the whole script in general and also liked the idea of someone so famous suddenly disappearing. There were great directors in Bejoy and Karishma Kohli. I felt it was a great fit, so I said yes,” as quoted by Hindustan Times.
Talking of whether stardom affected her life, she said, “When I was doing films, my mother used to scold me for keeping the room dirty. That’s how I grew up and so am I. When I go home, some people stay in the studio. I look at my kids and husband and it’s a different life. I never let myself be lost.”
She further said, “I take it as a profession. When I go in front of the camera, I am a professional actress and I know what I am doing. I have read the script and am reading it, playing the character. I become a character for the camera but when I come home I am a normal person because that is how we have been brought up.” as quoted by Abp live.
