Shraddha Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer, Chhichhore was recently selected by IFFI among the many other films released, to be screened at the film festival. Chhichhore, the 2019 film will be screened as part of the Indian Panaroma section at the 51st International Film Festival of India (IFFI).The nine-day film gala, will be held from January 16 to January 24.
This has left the actress of the film, Shraddha Kapoor feeling emotional. A close source shares, “It’s sweet because the film is very close to her heart and she is happy that in the fond memory of her co-star, Sushant Singh Rajput, the film will be watched again. But on the other hand, it makes her emotional as he is not there to celebrate this moment with the cast, crew and share this happiness with them. Shraddha always reminisces the time spent with Sushant on sets of Chhichhore”
Chhichhore opened to immense love and appreciation from all quarters. Critics, audiences, everyone lapped up the film which centred around a group of close knit friends reminiscing their college days, with a loud message for a young teenager to live life with a never say die spirit. Sushant and Shraddha played the high school sweethearts that got married and have a son, who attempted to take his own life by succumbing to the academic pressure. Taking the viewers on an emotional journey and yet leaving a smile on everyones face at the end, the film was just a beautiful script.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film also starred Varun Sharma, Tahir Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, Tushar Pandey, Prateik Babbar in pivotal roles with a lead cast of Shraddha Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput.
