Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly confirmed their engagement in two Instagram postings on Wednesday. The 35-year-old actress and the 31-year-old singer, whose actual name is Colson Baker, got engaged the day before under a banyan tree surrounded by candles, according to reports.
According to Kathryn Money, senior vice president of merchandising and retail at Brilliant Earth, Fox’s ring costs between $300,000 and $400,000 “depending on the quality and specific qualities of the centre side stones,” according to a statement emailed to Insider.
Fox shared an emotional video of the proposal, which has over 16 million views as of this writing, in which she recalls sitting beneath that tree in July 2020 and “asked for magic.”
Kelly asked Fox to marry him after a year and a half of “having walked through hell with” and a lot of laughter, according to Fox.
“And just like every other life before this one, and every lifetime after that, I said yes…and then we drank each other’s blood,” says the narrator. she penned
Kelly revealed the ring’s details in a video that has over 8 million views as of this writing. “Tradition is one ring,” he said, but he disclosed that he fashioned it with jeweller Stephen Webster to symbolise their birthstones – an emerald for Fox and a diamond for himself.
