South Indian film stars are often praised for their dedication, originality, and avoidance of controversies. So, in general, they avoid generating headlines for all the wrong reasons. Here is a celebrity that has been in the news in the past for less-than-savory reasons after some of their personal photos were posted on the internet.
Nayantara was born Diana Mariam Kurien in Bangalore, Karnataka, to an Indian Army Officer father, Kurien Kodiyattu, and a Malayali Nasrani (Syrian Christian) mother, Omana Kurien. Leno, her younger brother, lives in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Her family relocated to Kerala after her father’s retirement, where she continued her college studies while also attending different schools in Chennai, Jamnagar, Delhi, and Gujarat.
She was discovered by director Sathyan Anthikkad in 2003, while still in college, and was cast in a Malayalam film. She went on to act in Tamil and Telugu films two years later. She began to appear in Kannada language films as her popularity grew.
She quickly earned a reputation for playing beside male performers who were nearly twice her age. She made her Malayalam film debut opposite Jayaram, followed by roles in “Chandramukhi” with legendary Indian actor Rajnikanth, and then with aged actors Sarath Kumar, Mohanlal, and Mammotty.
Nayanthara was kissed by Silambarasan, a Tamil actor. In a leaked photograph that went viral on social media in 2014, Both actors are said to have split up following the viral photo. Simbu afterward fell in love with Hansika, and Nayanthara later fell in love with Prabhu Deva. Nayanthara is currently involved with Tamil director Vignesh Shivan. She was also in the news recently for asking Rs 4 crores to work opposite Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi.
