Shobu Yarlagadda, the producer of the Baahubali series, told PTI that Prabhas was the sole choice for the title character and that the creators never contemplated casting another actor in the role of Amarendra/Mahendra Baahubali. According to Shobu, Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan was asked for the role of Mahishmathi’s adored prince, but he declined “I didn’t think past him (Prabhas), and the character was created with him in mind. Contrary to popular belief, we never approached anybody else.” The second installment of the SS Rajamouli-directed Baahubali series was released on April 28 and has since dominated the box office.
The film is currently a great success. Baahubali: The Conclusion is the first Indian film to gross more than 1,000 crores globally. Baahubali 2 (Hindi version) has broken multiple milestones and is on its way to breaking the 500 crore mark.
Following the massive success of Baahubali 2, rumors about a third film inundated the Internet. “Really not thinking of Baahubali 3,” Shobu Yarlagadda told PTI. However, the team is working on a variety of projects centred on the cinematic character, including animated series, TV shows, games, and other projects. That is correct. The trailers for Aarambh, a television drama that would tell the narrative of Devasena (Amarendra Baahubali’s wife), have piqued people’s interest. Rajamouli’s father, K V Vijayendra Prasad, who also created the Baahubali series, wrote the story for the programme. 2 stars for Baahubali.
It’s no secret that Rana Daggubati and Prabhas have a special friendship. The two actors are as thick as thieves and had a great time filming both films in the ‘Baahubali’ franchise. Both ‘Baahubali’ films were spectacular, and despite the roles, the principal actors portray in the films, they are great friends in real life.
S.S.Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ series has sparked much discussion and speculation.
