The desi girl Priyanka Chopra is among the most successful and inspiring women in the Indian film industry. The diva has always shared her opinion on being treated low in showbiz. For the first time in her career, the diva got paid equally as the male lead in her upcoming series Citadel on Netflix. And yet again, the actress shared her views on how male ego and their insecurities have come her way.

Priyanka Chopra said, ” If a woman is more successful or if a man is staying at home and a woman goes to work, he will feel bad. We as a race, we as a society need to raise those kind of men that don’t feel insecure about these things.”

Further, she added, “I have some incredible men in my life, who are not insecure of my success. But I’ve also met men in my life who are very insecure of my success. So I think that men have enjoyed the freedom and the pride of being the breadwinners, of being the leaders of the family that it is, you know it’s threatening to their territory when a woman does that, or if a woman is more successful, or if a man is stay home, he will feel bad.”

Priyanka Chopra also shared her opinion about teaching boys, “We have to teach our sons that there is no shame in crying, there’s no shame in tears, there is no shame being able to share with your sister or your mother or give them the opportunity or your girlfriend or your wife and give them the spotlight. It’s amazing.”

Priyanka Chopra shared she learned equality from her home. “My dad did that to my mother when my mother was, she was getting into private practice, and he was still in the military. My mom started earning more than my father, but they saw it as a unit because ghar pe hi to aa raha hai, toh vo ego nahi that to maine vo apne Ghar me dekha hai. So now today, when I’m walking the red carpet with my husband, and he steps aside and gives me center stage, I feel very proud that I have surrounded myself, my father, my husband, my in-laws, my friends, with people that don’t have those insecurities.”
