Alia Bhatt spoke about her crush on the actor in many interviews. According to a Times of Indian report, the actress had a crush on Ranbir ever since she was 11. The actress had auditioned for the movie, Black back in 2005 which was when she met the actor and got a crush on him. He was the assistant director to Sanjay Leela Bansali for the movie.
More than a decade later, in 2018 the two stars were cast in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’. They had everyone’s heart with the chemistry they shared when they stepped out together in some gorgeous traditional wear for Sonam Kapoor’s wedding in May 2018.
After the wedding appearance, the two confirmed that they were dating. They didn’t want to reveal anything since it was still a new relationship. According to a Times of India report, the actress said, “It’s not a relationship. It’s a friendship. I’m saying this with all genuineness and honesty. It’s beautiful. I’m walking on stars and clouds right now. The best part is that we’re two individuals who are living our own professional lives in their full form right now. He’s shooting continuously. So am I. During the 64th Bimal Elaichi Filmfare awards of 2019, during her acceptance speech, Alia said, “Tonight is all about love; there, my special one, I love you (pointing at Ranbir Kapoor).” And the actor gave the actress a kiss when he was announced to be the winner of the Best Actor.
After a secret vacation, Christmas, and New years spent together, there is talk about marriage soon. According to an India entertainment report, Lara Dutt said that she believes the couple will get married this year. So there might just be wedding bells ringing in the near future!
