Rajkummar Rao: The underrated actor that deserves more attention 3

Bollywood is a place for actors of all kinds and one would think that status and family affluences shouldn’t ever be considered above talent, right? Hence it seems very unfortunate to us that Bollywood is fuelled by stardom but nepotism often takes the cake and leaves those new and coming actors, who don’t have a Bollywood family background, in the lurge. One such mountain of talent is Rajkummar Rao, who has recently rose to fame with some of the best performances in the past year.

It is actors like him (who do not know anything about acting apparently simply because they don’t have that background) who still keep on giving blockbusters, one after the other, despite having weak plot and mediocre script at times, because it is their acting that roars louder.

Fandom runs in Bollywood’s core and fans of Rajkummar are proof of his immense talent and acting chops that are loved by all. According to them, and even us, Rajkummar Rao is one of the finest actors in Indian Hindi film industry today. Period.

His acting skills are so refined that we can experience his effortless expressions and natural portrayal of every character he plays, which is unchallenged in Bollywood even today. Despite of this, Rao remains in a much lower spot where he should be.

He is quintessential average looking and easily garners audience attention with his performance and not his brooding looks. His magnificent acting in the film Shahid made him a recipient of the prestigious national award and clearly made him more deserving to be the blue eyed boy of Bollywood.

We even saw him killing it in movies like Newton, Street, Bareilly Ki Barfi and many more, and we hope he gets the recognition he deserves soon enough.
