However, Ranveer Singh is looking forward to the release of the long-awaited sports drama 83. The film, directed by Kabir Khan, is based on the 1983 Indian cricket team that won the World Cup. He portrays Kapil Dev, the team’s captain at the time. In 83, Deepika also plays Romi Bhatia, Kapil Dev’s wife. She most recently appeared in the 2020 film Chhapaak, which is based on the life of an acid assault victim. In the Hindi remake of The Intern, she will share screen time with Amitabh Bachchan. They’ll also appear together in Nag Ashwin’s film, which features Prabhas in the lead role.
