Let’s face it, we can’t get enough of celebrities’ eccentric behavior. Right now, no one in Hollywood is more fascinating than Robert Pattinson.
As the actor’s career has progressed since becoming renowned thanks to the “Twilight” franchise, so has his reputation as one of the most fascinating people in the industry. Pattinson is never a bore, whether it’s the insight we get from how he trains for parts (like forming an accent on his own for his character in “The Devil All the Time” or throwing up before scenes while filming “The Lighthouse”) or the completely off-the-wall comments about himself he makes while doing interviews (which he’s admitted were not true a couple of times). That’s one of the reasons we can’t seem to get enough of him.
We take a look back at the three occasions Pattinson has proven to be Hollywood’s most intriguing celebrity.
1. Pattinson admitted to Howard Stern in 2017 that he was removed from the all-boys school he followed as a kid for selling pornographic publications to pupils, indicating that his mischievous side has always been with him.
Pattinson explained that he planned to grab publications from newsstands.
He told Stern, “I got so cocky that I would take the entire rack.”
But it was because of this that he was apprehended. When one employee realized what he was doing, he was given the option of phoning the cops or his parents. His parents were the ones he selected. However, information came back to the school, and he was expelled.
He said that “every single one of my buddies snitched on me.”
2. Pattinson confessed in the podcast for the Hollywood Foreign Press (which votes for the Golden Globes) that he attended the premiere of “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” in Los Angeles back in 2007.
In the franchise, Pattinson portrayed Cedric Diggory. He originally featured in the 2005 film “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” however in “Order of the Phoenix,” he only appeared in a flashback scene.
But Pattinson was still interested in seeing the film, so he took a stroll to the premiere, hoping to sneak in.
“I was just strolling down Hollywood,” he explained, “and it was a lengthy walk I can’t even remember, like a 45-minute trip, and it was boiling hot.” “I’d spent the entire summer eating pizzas and drinking beer, and I looked horrible.”
Potter enthusiasts, on the other hand, never forget a character. When Pattinson arrived, he was greeted by a mob of Cedric Diggory admirers. He was on the red carpet with the rest of the cast before he knew it.
His agent was furious because he appeared to be “an incredible disaster.”
“‘What are you doing?’ they asked. What makes you think you’re being photographed like this? You appear to be completely insane!'” Pattinson remarked.
3. Pattinson is always up for some crazy stuff in his movies, as evidenced by the parts he’s chosen since the “Twilight” franchise.
While doing press for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2” in 2012, the actor stated what he would do if he were the director of the film’s s*x scene.
He told BBC Radio 1 that he will schedule [the s*x scene] on the last day of the schedule. “‘Listen, I have to have a closed set,’ I’d say. ‘It is quite significant. No one can see the monitors or anything,’ and then simply put in a walrus or anything like that.
Is he just having a good time with another reporter? It’s difficult to say. In any case, we can’t get enough of Pattinson’s inventive ideas.
