Recently news started surfacing the internet that Daniel Radcliffe will be playing the lead in The Wolverine in place of Huge Jackman. The rumours started after the Happy Potter actor joked about being cast in an interview.
But soon he put an end to the rumours. He explained why he will never be playing the role of Wolverine even if he was offered the part.
Daniel Radcliffe talked to Yahoo Movies UK stating his reasons for not wanting to play the part, he said “There was that whole thing where I made, what I thought was, an obvious joke about, I think, I said that [I’d be] Wolverine if he’d been shrunk in a hot wash, and then people thought that that was serious,”
He added “I got onto the set for my next job in Australia and people were like, ‘So you’re playing Wolverine? That’s awesome man!’ and I was like, No no no that was a joke.’”
Daniel went on to explain the real reason for not wanting to do such movies. He said “Most of the films that I love I don’t think I would want to see remade, and I certainly don’t think that I would want to be in the remakes of them.”
So the rumour about Daniel Radcliffe was a joke that was mistaken to be a fact.
