Sai Pallavi has had a long day of promotions for Love Story, her film alongside Naga Chaitanya and director Sekhar Kammula, which will be released in theatres on September 24. Despite this, the performer can’t stop raving about the film and why she thinks it’s great.

If the folk song ‘Saranga Dariya’ went viral for Sai Pallavi’s dancing, the teaser has made quite a stir as well, implying that there would be much more of her electrifying skills in the film. According to Sekhar Kammula’s interview with TNM, Naga Chaitanya portrays a young guy from an oppressed caste, whilst Sai Pallavi’s character experiences challenges owing to the patriarchal culture in which she lives.

In an interview with TNM, Sai Pallavi discusses the film, how her life has changed since being famous, her feelings on NEET suicides in Tamil Nadu, and more. Below are some excerpts:

When she initially read the script, she realized it was addressing two major societal concerns. It’s really tough to fit this into a commercial picture in a non-preachy way. It’s a slice-of-life film about two people who have accepted their lifestyles and are attempting to make them work. Their qualities stem from their upbringing and the events they’ve encountered. She was taken aback by how faithful he [Sekhar Kammula] was to both character graphs.

Then there are the roles that she wants to do because she knows she is part of a really strong medium where her voice will be heard. So, when there’s a tale like this to tell and she has to represent a group of people, she doesn’t expect much more.

It is a musical, and dancing is a part of their daily life, yet the characters don’t dance much. She enjoyed dancing for all of the numbers, and whenever she had to instruct the other people at the Zumba center, it was a breath of fresh air and a stress reliever from the more complex portions she had to complete.

She isn’t really active on social media and doesn’t use it very much, but everyone is these days. She is well aware that in your thoughts, you are always comparing yourself to the rest of the world. This is something that happens to her as well. She begins to question herself when she sees certain things. She doesn’t publish photographs very often, but when she does, she doesn’t want anybody else to go through what she has. She makes every effort to be completely honest. It’s not a claim; it’s simply her own opinion. That is not the case if you upload on a regular basis and your followers are aware that these are photoshoots. She doesn’t write very frequently since she doesn’t want anyone to think it’s her.
