Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut film starring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez, ‘Kick’ won hearts across all platforms for its commendable action sequences. The character of ‘Devil’ by Salman Khan was nailed to perfection and it had entertainment quotient filled in it. The film completed 5 long years in the industry today and the hashtag #5YearsofKick started trending everywhere. Sajid Nadiadwala is one of those very few lucky directors whose first directorial itself crossed more than 100 crores at the box office. ‘Kick’ was loved by the audience, and just like every other Salman Khan film, one could see fans celebrating and dancing to Bhaijaan’s songs inside the theatre itself. When ‘Jumme Ki Raat’ played inside the cinemas, Bhaijaan’s loyal fans had started dancing to the Salman-Jacqueline starrer song and several videos circulated on social media and YouTube of the same. The movie revolves around the mysterious character of Salman Khan of ‘Devil’ and with the presence of Mithun Chakraborty as Salman’s father, it was a cherry on top situation for fans of both.
‘Kick’ was undoubtedly the most anticipated film of 2014 and the makers are finally coming up with the franchise – the second innings of the same with Kick 2, which will go on the floors in 2020 for which they are already hovering over several brainstorming sessions to build up a good story. It is to be noted that although ‘Kick’ was Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut, he had worked in the industry for 25 long years before stepping into the shoes of the director. The leading actress of the movie, Jacqueline Fernandez too shared a throwback moment of her and Salman Khan from the sets as she posted a story remembering the same.
