Nushrattt Bharuccha is one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood and the last few years have been phenomenal for her. 2018 proved to be a game-changer for her with Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety alongside Kartik Aaryan doing wonders at the box office. Post that, came Dream Girl in 2019 alongside Ayushmann Khurrana which was well received and she continued the good work with Chhalaang in 2020 along with Rajkummar Rao.
And now, she’s back once again with a bang in Netflix’s Ajeeeb Daastaans where she’s seen in a never-seen-before avatar. When Nushrratt was asked as to whether she’s making a conscious effort to ‘de-glamourize’ herself and play challenging characters, she was quoted as saying,
“Well tbh, I am not doing anything with a fixed frame of mind. I am just taking it one day at a time and letting the script do the talking. If I feel I can do justice to the script and the director’s vision, I am always game for a nice project. I have been lucky that these kinds of roles are coming to me. I have never really planned anything and I don’t intend to either. I am simply going with the flow when it comes to selecting scripts.”
