Stranger Things’ cast members are young, but they’re already creating a reputation for themselves in the fashion world.
Finn stated in an interview that Harry Styles is one of his style icons “Harry Styles became my main source of style inspiration sometime in the fall of 2012 (just around the time his relationship with Taylor Swift became a thing). I’d never intentionally co-opted a male star’s appearance before, and I wasn’t even a big One Direction fan, but I had a mental database of his ensembles that I’d refer to anytime I went shopping.
I noticed myself gravitating for his sartorial faithful on several occasions: loose T-shirts, skinny jeans, ankle boots, and a slouchy posture. I didn’t dress that way every day, of course. But after I did, I felt more confident in myself.”
He further stated, “If you’re a former boy bander trying to make a career as a solo rock star, New Harry has been doing a printed, nearly all Gucci suiting thing that totally fits. But, literally and symbolically, that’s not me.
I understood I couldn’t follow Harry down this road.”
