Taapsee Pannu makes a big statement on Shah Rukh Khan’s stardom, saying, “5 saal se…”

Actress Taapsee Pannu admires the King of Romance, Shah Rukh Khan, who calls him Superstar!

Taapsee Pannu states that Shah Rukh Khan is a Superstar. The actress also spilled that his victory and losses are his personality which is real stardom. In an interview, the actress said she told Shah Rukh Khan that he is the benchmark for every outsider to begin their journey in Bollywood. The Baby actress also spoke about how success and failure affect her.

However, Taapsee Pannu will be featuring alongside Shah Rukh Khan for the very first time in Dunki by filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. Supported by JIO studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Film, Dunki will be released in theatres on 22 December 2023. The film’s writers are Abhijaat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon.

Talking to Pinkvilla, Taapsee shared, “I’ve told him that he is the benchmark or the person that every outsider especially coming from Delhi, looks up to. I’m not a superstar, but he is the Superstar. I don’t feel like when you work with people like him or superstars like him; you realize that’s what the stakes of the word stardom or star. That is when paanch saal se koi picture nahi aayi hai (he didn’t have a release in the last five years), but one move of his just creates a storm everywhere. His victories are personal; his loss is personal; that’s stardom. Not what we feel star is.”

The ‘Pink’ actress speaking about success and failure, said, “A lot of other things come with success, especially in this country. It teaches you not to take either your success or failures too seriously. That I’ve learned. I’ve not been a good loser. My family members still call me ‘she’s a sore loser’ when I play board games. I am a very sore loser and probably an even worse winner. But at work, I have kind of become better like I don’t take either success or failure too strongly now. It’s not like it doesn’t affect me; it still affects me and disturbs me a little bit, but I have gotten better at coping with it.”

Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu’s movie Shabaash Mithu is currently playing in theatres, released on 15 July. The film is a biopic of the most celebrated female cricketer Mithali Raj. The film is about how the legend worked hard to come this far in her career despite many hurdles. Priya Aven wrote it. The actress will also be featuring in Anurag Kashyap’s next thriller, Do Baara.
