Rakul Preet Singh, an actress, has a lot of hopes and intentions for the year 2020. To begin with, the actress was ecstatic about the prospect of renovating the Bandra property she had purchased. However, the pandemic struck, and her ambitions, like those of the rest of the country, were put on hold. Now that things are slowly returning to normal, the actress has resurrected her dream-home idea. “My house was almost ready when the lockdown was declared,” Rakul explains. “During the first days of the lockdown, I worked on the décor, but I had ordered a lot of stuff for the house from all over the world and had to cancel all of those deliveries.
I didn’t have time to finish putting the finishing touches on my house when the lockdown was released. To accomplish so, I’ll need a few days off.” Rakul had explained why she wanted to buy a property in Mumbai. “I wasn’t sure how much time I’d be spending in this city when I returned for the shoot of De De Pyaar De (2019). But I quickly realized that I would be remaining here for a long time and needed somewhere to call ‘home,'” she explained, adding that the pad would represent her own taste.
“It has to be a big house with a lot of open space. My go-to color scheme is soft pastels. I want my house to have a soothing environment that makes me feel at ease the moment I walk in. In the décor plan, I also need to retain a certain level of conceptual flow. It won’t be something really shocking, even if it’s a painting. Everything has to blend together in a smooth manner. A lot of vegetation is also required. My favorite part of the house is the balcony.” She had said, “I adore sitting there and reading without being disturbed.”
