On her Instagram page, the actress shared a flashback shot of herself filming the series’ fourth season finale episode, “Graduation.” Nina, who was dressed as Elena and had fake blood on her face for a fight scene, is seen in the snap holding up the episode script.
She even had some fun with the caption by writing, “Is it weird to say that I miss being attacked regularly? #tbt”
Michael Trevino, who portrayed Michael Lockwood in the series and its spin-off The Originals, also poked fun at himself in the comments section of the photo, adding, “This will get a lot of likes,” well aware that the fandom would go crazy for it.
While Nina may not be reprising her role as Elena, fans can look forward to more The Vampire Diaries awesomeness in Legacies’ upcoming episode, “Salvatore! The Musical.”
The episode will follow the Salvatore School students as they put on a show starring all of our favourite characters from the original series.
Kaylee Bryant, who portrays Josie on Legacies, will play Elena in the musical adaptation of the show. We’re not sure how they’ll fit all eight seasons of the programme into one musical episode, but we’re excited to see it. Let’s hope Nina tunes in as well, so we can hear what she has to say about it!
