One Met Gala look is no longer enough, especially if your red carpet ensemble is extremely expensive (and most of them are). Following the main event, the celebrities resurfaced for after-parties hosted by Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, Justin and Hailey Bieber, and others. For some, this meant cutting their hemlines shorter. Others chose to ditch their high heels in favor of sneakers, while still others chose to keep their red carpet ensemble—albeit with a few tweaks.
1. Rihanna
She attends her own party in an all-black ensemble with far less fabric than she wore on the red carpet (including a Re/Done tee and Lang Antiques and Nikos Koulis jewelry).
2. Kendall Jenner
In a bustled red paillette-adorned mini with matching shoes and clutch, she goes from sheer and Audrey Hepburn-inspired to scarlet and equally spectacular (and major necklace).
3. Billie Eilish
On her walk into the Mark hotel, she swaps her “Holiday Barbie” peach ball gown for a similarly vintage-inspired crimson gown with a matching cape and Jimmy Choo clutch.
4. Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly
She’s dressed in a Dundas x Revolve mini (with Jimmy Choo handbag) that pays homage to her glam beaded red carpet ensemble but adds one new piece: her “twin flame” beau (in an embellished, embossed leather jacket).
5. Kim Kardashian West
Continues to conceal, but reduces the size of the face mask.
6. Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian
He opts for a blazer and sneakers, while she ditches her spangled jumpsuit for a blazer and sneakers.
7. Billie Eilish
Changes into a black lace-and-leather ensemble with comfortable boots once more!
8. Justin Bieber
At a celebration for his Drew House fashion line, he wore a tee and baggy black cargo jeans.
