The Most Popular And Loved Tom Hanks Movies That We Can Never Get Enough Of

Take a look at four of our most favourite Tom Hanks movies

If we are not lying, almost every Tom Hanks movie is a hit and obviously is a people’s favourite. But here is a list of four of our most favourite Tom Hanks movies.

A-League of Their own: 1992

As Jimmy Dugan, a former marquee MLB slugger is appointed to manage the Rockford Peaches, he initially treats the situation as a joke, saying that “ladies” can’t possibly be serious ballplayers. It may be a contentious top decision, but it is unquestionably one of the best Tom Hanks performances of all time.

Forrest Gump: 1994

Forrest Gump is the name by which we’ll all remember him. It’s an American classic, starring Tom Hanks in yet another role that only he could have portrayed, teaching us the importance of human decency, particularly how we treat others. Hanks received his second Academy Award for best actor, and the film was also nominated for best picture and grossed a lot of money. It’s still one of our favourites.

Big: 1988

Following comedies like “Splash” and “The Money Pit,” which established Hanks as a charming leading man in lighthearted storylines, Penny Marshall’s vision propelled him into full-fledged movie star gear. He received his first Academy Award nomination for his role as a small kid who makes the wish “to be huge” and is instantly transformed into an adult.

Toy Story: 1995

We adore all of the “Toy Story” movies, so we’ll choose the entire franchise as our favourite. If pressed, we’ll go with the original, in which he plays Woody, a boy’s favourite toy cowboy doll, who fights with Buzz Lightyear, a suped-up space ranger action figure. Hanks popularised celebrity voice acting with his recognisable voice.
