As we know, this year has been filled with controversies, and many celebrities have been dragged down by netizens over something. One such celebrity is Amber Heard, who has been receiving alot of backlash after the Johnny Depp case.
Not only the backlash, even a few petitions are going around demanding the removal of Heard from Aquaman 2.
For the new-readers, Amber Heard plays the role of Mera in the Jason Momoa starrer and it’s sequel, titled as the Lost Kingdom which is set to release next year. Fans want her to be replaced because they believe that the Pirates of the Caribbean star- Johnny Depp is the victim of abuse from Amber and not vice versa.
Talkinh about one such petitions that has set a goal of 6 million signatures is titled, “Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2” and it has already gained around 4.6 million signs from Johnny Depp supporters.
Well, despite the growing hatred there are still a few fans left who support Amber and believe that her claims regarding Johnny were true.
However, after the petition to remove her from Aquaman 2 gained 4.6 million signatures, a few of her fans took to Twitter and criticized it saying, “This is so f*cking rooted in misogyny and absolutely nothing else,” a tweet read.
Meanwhile, recently Aquaman 2’s release date was pushed even further to December 2023.
