Kangana Ranaut spoke about her thoughts on Hollywood films at a press conference for Thalaivii. The actress believes that Hollywood films should be avoided, as this will aid in the creation of an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat.’

“Hollywood has devastated other businesses by creating a global monopoly,” the actress said in a powerful statement. “They’ve taken over our television sets. We’d rather see a dubbed version of The Lion King or The Jungle Book than a dubbed Malayalam picture.”

“We need to love our own films first, be it Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, or Punjabi,” the actress remarked, urging audiences to watch more Indian films. We must prioritize our people and industries while discouraging Hollywood films. This is how an Atmanirbhar Bharat is made.”

In ‘Thalaivii,’ the actress portrays J Jayalalithaa, an Indian politician and film actress who served as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for more than fourteen years, from 1991 to 2016.

Kangana will next be seen in ‘Dhaakad,’ a spy thriller in which she will portray Agent Agni, a police officer. Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutt are among the cast members of the upcoming film. Kangana’s filmography also includes ‘Tejas’ and ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda.’
