Allu Arjun has been offered a role in a Hindi film, but his admirers in the north will have to wait. The 39-year-old actor, whose latest Telugu film “Pushpa: The Rise” has made over Rs 300 crore globally since its December 17 release, said he is open to participating in a traditional Bollywood film if the project is intriguing.

He has received an offer, but nothing solid or exciting; maybe, it will happen soon. It takes bravery to risk it (to work in a different field), Arjun told PTI.

The actor is recognized for films such as “Bunny,” “Arya,” “Desamuduru,” “Parugu,” and “Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo,” among others. He is the son of famed producer Allu Aravind.

Arjun stated he is not interested in playing second fiddle to another actor when he takes on a Hindi screenplay after almost two decades in the Telugu film business.

“Anyone who comes to us with the chance to play a protagonist will only come with the offer to play a protagonist; he would not be interested in anything else”. And it’s a well-known fact.

“Even the other person will not show up, and it’s pointless to ask such a great actor to perform a secondary role since it detracts from the picture, something they are well aware of. You must work as a protagonist, as the main character”, he added.

The actor is overjoyed with the success of “Pushpa: The Rise,” which has grossed Rs 56.69 crore in Hindi-dubbed theatres.

The action movie, directed by Sukumar of “Arya” fame, was also released in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Meanwhile, Arjun’s next action film “Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo” is being dubbed in Hindi as “Shehzada,” starring Kartik Aaryan.
