Tzuyu, a member of TWICE, was born on June 14, 1999, in Taiwan’s Tainan area. Tzuyu began dancing at a young age and received training in a reputable dance academy. Talent scouts spotted her in 2012 at the MUSE Performing Arts Workshop in Tainan. At the conclusion of the year, she relocated to Korea to start her training. She earned her middle school diploma after passing an exam. She attended high school there in South Korea, where she graduated in 2019.
In 2015, Tzuyu participated in the reality series Sixteen and was chosen by viewer vote. She was also formally chosen to join TWICE in the same year.
