When it comes to naming one young male star of Bollywood who has enjoyed the longest spree of hit films, it is none other than Jr. Dhawan, aka Varun Dhawan. The journey started for him with ‘Student Of The Year’ in 2012 alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt, and since then, the string of hit movies continued for Varun Dhawan. Movies like ‘Badlapur’, ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya’, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’, ‘Judwaa 2’, ‘Dilwale’, ‘ABCD 2’, ‘Main Tera Hero’, ‘Dishoom’, ‘October’ and ‘Sui Dhaaga’ have made him the undisputed king when it comes to guaranteed box office success from a young star like Varun Dhawan.
His next film is ‘Street Dancer 3’ alongside Shraddha Kapoor, the shoot of which he wrapped up only recently. And now he is all set to be a part of the remake of David Dhawan’s ‘Coolie No 1’, which will also be directed by David Dhawan. The original had Govinda as lead and the remake will feature Varun Dhawan as the lead. Paired opposite him will be Sara Ali Khan, who too is on her way up the success ladder. Varun recently shared a fun video of him on Instagram where he was seen having a clean-shaven look for ‘Coolie No 1’. The video was full of special effects and Instagram filters, which made the video even funnier. The original Coolie No 1 was a huge hit with Govinda and Karishma Kapoor in the lead, and with Varun’s expertise in the comic genre, the remake is expected to be a big hit as well.
