While Madame Web, starring Dakota Johnson, is set for release, the actress recently addressed rumours that she and Jamie Dornan, her co-star in Fifty Shades of Grey, were at odds. She even remembered and responded to the intimate moments she acted out with him while they were filming together.
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Dakota Johnson reportedly denied rumours that she and Jamie Dornan had a falling out and said they had always gotten along. She stated that Dornan was like a brother to her and that they needed to be trustworthy and protective of one another.
About working with Jamie Dornan, she said, “We were doing the weirdest things for years, and we needed to be a team: ‘We’re not doing that,’ or ‘You can’t do that camera angle.’ Sam didn’t come back to direct after the first movie, and, as a female, she had brought a softer perspective. James Foley came on to direct, and he’s an interesting man. It was different doing those bizarre things with a man behind the camera. Just different energy. There are things that I still cannot say because I don’t want to hurt anyone’s career and I don’t want to damage anybody’s reputation, but both Jamie and I were treated well. Erika is a very nice woman, and she was always kind to me and I am grateful she wanted me to be in those movies,”
The last time we saw Dakota Johnson was in the movie Am I OK? Along with Johnson, the movie also stars Sonoya Mizuno, Jermaine Fowler, Kiersey Clemons, Molly Gordon, and Sean Hayes. She will also appear in the upcoming Carrie Cracknell drama Persuasion, which will premiere on Netflix on July 15, 2022, in addition to Madame Web.
