Monochrome does not always imply black and white. It could also signify wearing a single color throughout an outfit. While black on black is the classic one-tone design, Kareena Kapoor Khan has been wearing some great monochrome ensembles in unexpected colors and nailing each look with panache throughout this period.
Here are a few of our personal favorites!
1. Starting with Gauri and Nainika tangerine numbers. The off-shoulder and cutout design at the waist give the solid-colored suit some depth. We loved how she paired this bold color with kohl-rimmed eyes and neutral lips.
2. She looked lovely in this olive green Tadashi Shoji gown. We love the mix of textures here, which is another way to wear monotone by playing with the texture of the fabric rather than the color. The gown’s cutouts give it the appearance of being tied up.
3. Think again if you thought sunshine yellow was a cheerful, uplifting color. If worn with a Stephane Rolland gown like this one, it could be quite ferocious. Apart from the high slit, we adore the combo of accessories. She is wearing silver sequined boots, despite the gold belt and cuff. You could plainly combine metals!
