Amanda Seyfried came to the 93rd Annual Academy Awards with the high-fashion glitz and elegance we’ve come to expect from Hollywood’s biggest night. In a bespoke red Giorgio Armani Privé strapless tulle ball gown, the first-time Oscar candidate, 35, looked exquisite. She donned a scarlet lip and accessorized with Forevermark yellow diamond drop earrings and Stuart Weitzman heels, pulling her hair back into a low bun with classic finger waves. The entire ensemble seemed to be a tribute to Mank, the film for which she is nominated, which is set in 1930s Hollywood. Seyfried quipped at Oscars’s pre-show that she was up against Olivia Colman (The Father), Youn Yuh-jung (Minari), Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm), and Glenn Close (Hillbilly Elegy) for Best Supporting Actress for her part in Mank. To complement the billowing ball gown, hairstylist Renato Campora curled Seyfried’s hair into a throwback, old Hollywood up-do. “Amanda’s role Marion Davies in Mank, as well as her stunning evening gown, inspired me. I desired a couture hairstyle that was exact and antique,” he stated Campora created the style by blowing out the actress’s moist hair with the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer Professional edition, then smoothing it out with the Dyson Corrale straightener. Then he braided it into a low-hanging bun at the nape of her neck, combed the strands into a low ponytail, curled the ends with a 1-inch iron, and twisted it into a dramatic side part.
Meanwhile, Genevieve Herr applied the Lancôme Ambassadress’ eyelids with a dark brown eyeshadow and a cranberry shimmer from the Lancôme Hypnôse 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Rose Fusion, and her lips with the Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Drama Ink in Nuit Pourpre.
