Wonder Woman is the most loved fiction-based character depicting a superheroine which was highlighted in American comic books and movies too. The character is wonderfully played and embraced by Gal Gadot in the fiction-based movie ‘Wonder Woman 1984’. The character of Wonder Woman is also a founding and prominent member of the Justice League. In her homeland, the island nation of Themyscira, the real name of the character Wonder Woman is Diana and she is a Princess of Themyscira. When mixing up into the society apart from her homeland, she sometimes takes up her civilian identity Diana Prince.
Captain Marvel is a 2019 USA-based superheroine movie with relation to the Marvel Comics character Carol Danvers. It was produced by Marvel Studios and, it is the 21st film addition to the list of the movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The movie was written and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The beautiful star, Brie Larson as Danvers has flawlessly and perfectly played her part along with Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Annette Bening, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law. The story is set in 1995, in which Danvers becomes Captain Marvel after Earth is stuck in the center of a galactic war between two alien civilizations.
The most beautiful thing about both these fiction movies is that it employs and regards female protagonists as the superheroines. It actually subverts the ideology of “superheroes” in general and makes a woman the center of the power play and superheroism, making and depicting women as not just “superheroines” but also as “superheroes”. Both these characters are really loved by their fans so it would be difficult to judge as to which is the most cherished.
