The protagonist of Saawariya was a young, rebellious man named Ranbir Raj (Ranbir Kapoor). Ranbir arrives in a bizarre-looking town with the intention of advancing his artistic career. One evening, he catches sight of an enigmatic girl with an umbrella while standing by herself on a bridge. These women avoid conversation when he tries to start one with them. They later develop a friendship. The name of this mysterious girl was Sakina (Sonam Kapoor), a woman who intrigues Ranbir due to the persistent grief and pain in her eyes. She has entranced Ranbir, and he wants to tell her how he feels. Nevertheless, just as he prepares to do so, she informs him that she is awaiting her beloved Imaan (Salman Khan). Imaan informed Sakina a year ago that he would return to the bridge where Ranbir had first spotted her. Saawariya demonstrated that Ranbir and Sonam had what it required to succeed in Bollywood, even though it may not have performed well at the box office. The movie also served as a timely reminder of how amazing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s visuals truly are.
Another film, another master class from Ranbir Kapoor. His biggest acting risk yet was playing Barfi! since he had to communicate constantly but was unable to speak a single word. Barfi! is comparable to a memory of a past event. There are numerous instances of love, laughing, and feelings throughout. The writing, music, and acting for every character in the movie are superb. It never occurs to you that Barfi! needs to speak to explain his emotions since Ranbir Kapoor plays the role so well. With this movie, he really raised the bar for himself.
Like many romantic comedies, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani sparkles with romance, joy, and heartbreak. The main performers’ on-screen chemistry is superb, and the movie is shiny and vibrant. With the film, Ayan also showed that he could appeal to both critics and the general people. Ranbir Kapoor effortlessly transitions into Bunny’s flirty and joyful persona. Deepika is her charming self as the lovely, naive, and breathtakingly beautiful Naina. Despite having a standard relationship and predictable sequences, the movie is nonetheless a lot of fun to watch.
Ranbir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor appeared in the movie Besharam together for the first time. The main character of the movie is Babli (Ranbir Kapoor), a streetwise auto mechanic who lives in a Delhi orphanage. Babli has been ignorant of the distinction between right and wrong since he was a little child. He acts in a way that serves him best. But after meeting Tara (Pallavi Sharda), he understands that he needs to put in the effort if he wants to do anything in life. The main cause of the movie’s failure was the poor scripting, which seriously hurt the movie.
Tamasha is a work of pure soul and visual pleasure. People were eager for this movie because of the on-screen reunion of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, and boy did it live up to those expectations. Through the perspective of Ved (Ranbir Kapoor) and Tara (Deepika Padukone), Tamasha transports you to a completely different universe. The movie is visually spectacular, and Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have outstanding performances, making it a must-see. Tamasha continued to enjoy a respectable box office performance.
We’ve seen biopics about athletes, politicians, and freedom fighters, but Sanju was the first one to focus on a performer. While everyone was aware of the ups and downs in Sanjay Dutt’s life, this movie told the story from Sanjay’s perspective. Through the eyes of Ranbir Kapoor, who portrayed the title role, we witnessed all the occasions that shaped Sanjay Dutt into the person he is today. The ability of Ranbir to portray Sanjay Dutt has been questioned, yet ten minutes into the movie, you’ll even forget that Ranbir is in it. Although the actor’s physical transformation is flawless, it is the actor’s skillful recreation of “Sanju baba’s” mannerisms that makes his performance so realistic. Vicky Kaushal and Paresh Rawal are equally outstanding in their respective parts. The movie is a total package of fun and will have you grinning as the credits start to roll, just like every other movie directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
