Movies can make quite a massive mark on people’s lives. And sometimes these people like to keep memorabilia from these classic movies. At a recent Hollywood auction, an iconic outfit sold for quite a whopping price that left everyone shocked but not surprised.

Kate Winslet played the role of Rose DeWitt Bukater in the movie ‘Titanic’. It is quite an iconic movie! This tragic romance movie brought quite a few people to tears! And it is still leaving people shocked! Recently, one of the outfits used in the movie fetched a shocking $ 330,000 at a Hollywood auction, as per an Indian Express report.

The iconic red chiffon dress that was designed by Deborah L Scott made the list of contemporary memorabilia in the ‘Drama Action, Romance- The Hollywood Auction’ by Profiles in History. The exquisite dress took more than 1000 hours to sew and is part of one of the most impactful and memorable scenes of the movie where the characters, Rose and Jack first meet on the deck of Titanic.

It was first sold in 1998 by the clothier J Peterman a year after the movie’s release. The dress was described as one of the only screen-used ‘jump dress’ that was in private hands.

Along with this dress, some of the other top sellers at the auction was the bow used by Legolas played by the actor Orlando Bloom in the ‘Lord of the Rings’ Trilogy. The bow was priced at $372,000 while its presale high estimate was $120,000. Another memorabilia was from the 1977 first Star Wars movie. It was a screen-used X-wing model which sold for $270,000 which also had the same high estimate of $120,000.
