5 Reasons Why Remo-Varun-Shraddha-Prabhudheva Will Wow Us Again
Read to know why Remo-Varun-Shraddha-Prabhudheva will impress the audience again with their new movie Street Dancer
- Street Dancer is Remo D’Souza’s genre-defining film. Remo is the master of dance movies. He proved it with ABCD (2013), ABCD 2 (2015), and now there is the third film in the franchise, not called ABCD 3, but Street Dancer, which returns to spin a swirling spell. Sure, Remo erred with Race 3, which, by the way, made enough money to be considered a hit by normal standards, but not Salman Khan’s.
- 3D seems to have made a comeback of sorts in 2020. Tanhaji in 3D is already a hit. Street Dancer is Remo’s third dance film in 3D. And this time, the 3D dance moves are so pulsating and throbbing with dimensional depth that audiences will feel they are right up there on the dance floor with Varun and Shraddha, grooving to the most glorious rhythms since man invented dance as an energy supplement to music.
- Varun and Shraddha (replacing Katrina Kaif) burnt up the dance floor in Remo’s ABCD 2, a big hit where the two stars danced as if there was no tomorrow. As far as sustaining a whole dance film is concerned, Varun ranks next to none. Varun’s dad David Dhawan feels Varun is a very hardworking dancer. He doesn’t possess the supremely natural steps of Tiger Shroff, Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor. Whatever Varun lacks in terms of natural dancing abilities, he more than compensates for, with his energy and labour.
- Varun Dhawan had no releases in 2019 except the disastrous Kalank. 2020 is his year with Street Dancer and Coolie No 1 both being potential, no, make that nearly-sureshot, blockbusters. The film trade is already looking at Street Dancer as the second blockbuster of 2020 after Tanhaji. Like Tanhaji, it has a strong patriotic flavour. In fact, the climactic song and dance is a streaming sensuous adrenaline-pumping remix of Miley sur mera tumhara, done up in new but recognizable and never disrespectful shades. Audiences will love it.
- And finally, Remo’s lucky mascot Prabhudheva is back in Street Dancer. Prabhu told me he never questions Remo. It is a given that if Remo returns with a dance feature, Prabhu will be part of it. So relax in your seats and watch Prabhudheva share the dance floor with Varun Dhawan, as Remo choreographs their moves. It’s like watching Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor dance, while destiny choreographs.
