Given the Covid-19 pandemic situation, a lot of movies had to either reschedule their release or come directly on OTT. Salman Khan’s Radhe was the biggest movie to release directly on OTT this year. For a long time, there were speculations about Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom releasing directly on OTT.
However to put an end to all sorts of speculations once and for all, Akshay Kumar released an official statement on the subject and we quote,
‘I’m humbled at the excitement and eagerness of my fans regarding the release of Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom and want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for all their love. However, at this point, it is purely speculative to say that both films will release on Independence Day. The producers of both films are working out the release dates and will make announcements at the right time.’
