Dinesh Vijan, who has had a stellar year already with a triple success streak of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Munjya, and Stree 2, is gearing up to release two major feature films: Chhaava and Sky Force. While Chhaava is scheduled for a December 6, 2024 release, sources have revealed that Sky Force, starring Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Veer Pahariya, and Nimrat Kaur, will hit theaters on January 24, 2025, coinciding with the Republic Day weekend.
Insiders have indicated that Sky Force is set during a critical moment in Indian history—the country’s first air strike on Pakistan. Described as a high-octane action drama, the film also incorporates strong emotional and patriotic elements. The production team believes the Republic Day period is ideal for its release, given the film’s nationalistic theme and engaging storyline.
According to reports, the film has seemingly received positive early feedback. The visual effects, handled by Oscar and National Award-winning company DNEG, are said to be impressive, particularly in the film’s aerial sequences. The chemistry between Akshay Kumar and newcomer Veer Pahariya is also highlighted as one of the film’s standout features, offering audiences a fresh dynamic on screen.
The promotional campaign for Sky Force is set to begin during the 2024 Christmas season, with a theatrical trailer expected to launch at that time. The month-long campaign will build anticipation ahead of the film’s January release. Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, the film is going to be Veer Pahariya’s big screen debut.
