Akshay Kumar talks about his clash with John Abraham at the box office!

It’s been sometime now that Akshay Kumar has been coming up with his movies at the box office on 15th August, that is Independence Day. The central theme of his films is usually about something that evokes a sense of patriotism and the proposition has worked well for him.

And now this year on the same day, he is coming up with ‘Mission Mangal’, alongside an extremely talented star cast comprising of Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menon and Sharman Joshi.

Interestingly enough, 15th August is a day preferred by John Abraham as well. Last year we had Akshay’s ‘Gold’ and John’s ‘Satyamev Jayate’ clashing at the box office and this year we will see them clashing again with ‘Mission Mangal’ and ‘Batla House’.

So when Akshay was asked about this clash time and again at the box office, here’s what he had to say,

‘We are all friends. There are only 50+ Fridays in a year and we have more than 100 films releasing in a year and hence clashes are inevitable. However, we all work amicably in a way which is beneficial for all. ”

To add to the fun side of it, Akshay urged the audience to ‘Make some noise for the Desi Boys’. It is to be noted that Akshay and John had worked together in ‘Desi Boyz’ and have been very good friends ever since.
