Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha are all set to come together in a project title ‘Section 375’. The movie primarily deals with people who misuse Section 375, which is the anti-rape law in India.
India as a country hasn’t had the best of history when it comes to female safety. Just recently, a horrific case of rape emerged when a little girl was raped and beheaded in Jamshedpur. This came to the attention of many, including Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma, and the actor has called for strong action in the said incident.
The film is expected to set an important benchmark when it comes to sending the message loud and clear that ‘rape isn’t cool’ at all and consent matters. The shooting is over and the release date is finally out, which is 13th September 2019.
The movie is backed by TSeries and Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Krishan Kumar, and Abhishek Pathak. Akshaye Khanna was last seen in ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’, where his role as former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s close aide was widely appreciated.
