The Asia Contents Awards, a commitment by the Busan International Film Festival from South Korea, that recognizes outstanding productions and talented individuals from the Asia region, has nominated Netflix’s anthology series Ray and film Ajeeb Dastaans.They bagged 4 nominations in total, Best Original OTT series, Best Actor, Best Actress and Technical Achievement.
Ray, an anthology series about revolutionary film maker, auteur, and the creator of the iconic Feluda series, Satyajit Ray, who is also celebrated for writing some of the best short stories India has ever seen, has been nominated for Best Original OTT series and Technical Achievement.
Ali Fazal playing the character of Ipsit Nair, who was widely appreciated by the audience and critics in Ray’s episode called ‘Forget me not,’ received the nomination for Best Actor. Furthermore, Nushrratt Bharruccha who plays Meenal, a house help from the anthology film ‘Ajeeb Dastaans’ bowled audiences over with her performance and has been nominated in the Best Actress category.
