Actress Bhumi Pednekar, known for her talent, has been confirmed to join the cast of the upcoming film Raksha Bandhan, directed by Aanand L Rai and stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role. Akshay announced on his Instagram account, where he shared a picture of himself with Bhumi and Aanand.
In the picture, the trio can be seen laughing their hearts out. Sharing the picture, Akshay wrote: “When you are happy, it shows. And indeed, we are…to have Bhumi Pednekar onboard #RakshaBandhan.” Raksha Bandhan will mark Akshay’s third collaboration with Bhumi after Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Durgamati.
Last year, Akshay announced his upcoming film Raksha Bandhan on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. He shared the first look poster of the movie, which featured him and four girls who are likely to play the role of his sisters in the film. Directed by Aanand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma, the movie revolves around the special bond between a brother and a sister.
