Madras High Court dismisses Thalapathy Vijay's plea

As per the latest reports in opindia.com, the Madras High Court has dismissed a writ petition filed by Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay seeking exemption from payment of entry tax on his imported Rolls Royce Ghost Motor car. Not just that, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the actor asking him to be a ‘real hero’ and pay his due taxes.

Reportedly, Justice SM Subramanian who heard the plea asked him to not only pay the entry tax as demanded by the government within a period of two weeks but also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh fine on the actor and directed him to pay the amount to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Covid-19 relief fund.
