The film’s premise was well encapsulated when the “Bohurupi” crew, which included Bohurupi artist Nanichora Das Baul and director-actor Shiboprosad Mukherjee, surprised Tollywood star Jeet at his home. Claiming to be a bahurupi, Shiboprosad astounded and impressed Jeet.

Wednesday’s unexpected visit was the idea of Shiboprosad, who wanted to surprise his close buddy Jeet especially. Shiboprosad changed into several personalities while Nanichora followed him, displaying his extraordinary bahurupi abilities.

Jeet was amazed instantly when Shiboprosad appeared behind the curtain. He was dressed and had done a makeover as a ‘Bohurupi.’ The Tollywood celebrity was taken aback and thrilled by the surprise visit. Shiboprosad disclosed that the unexpected visit met Nanichora’s request since the actor is a major Jeet admirer.

Warmth and friendship abounded at the encounter as Jeet spoke with Nanichora and asked about his experience working on “Bohurupi.” According to Shiboprosad, Jeet reacted well to the movie’s first trailer, then extraordinarily impressed with the ‘Bohurupi Rap Song’ sung by Nonichora, complimented saying, “Kya baat!”

Shiboprosad emphasized the tight friendship between the two friends by characterizing the visit as an “intimate” gesture. During the visit, Shiboprosad also prayed at Jeet’s native temple, asking Maa Durga to provide everyone with health and well-being.

This surprise visit follows a series of similar encounters, including Trinamool leader Kunal Ghosh and director Aniruddha Raychoudhury, who congratulated the ‘Bahurupi’ team on their innovative promotional strategy.

When questioned about future surprises, Shiboprosad hinted at more exciting encounters, stating, “I’ve sung the multi-faceted rap with many people, and there are a few close friends I’d like to surprise soon.”

This film marked the second collaboration between the directorial duo and Abir Chatterjee after Raktabeej. Indranath Marick did the cinematography while Malay Laha handled the editing. It is scheduled to release in the theatres on 8 October 2024 on the occasion of Durga Puja.
