Just like every other week, this week as well, we had a humongous release in the box office in the form of Ek Villain Returns. The movie stars actors like John Abraham, Disha Patani, Tara Sutaria and Arjun Kapoor in lead roles and it is the sequel of Ek Villain that earlier starred Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role.
Given the stellar cast of the movie, the movie was expected to have a grand opening with humongous numbers. However, seems like it isn’t the case. Despite such a humongous star cast and the fact that it is a sequel of a popular movie that released in 2014, the movie only managed to earn around 6.50 crores on day 1. Although it is the numbers for Friday, given the weekend ahead, the numbers are set to improve in the coming days. Although, it might be a challenge for the numbers to pick up on a massive scale, better word of mouth might help the movie’s fate.
