The Kaho Na Pyaar Hai actress Ameesha Patel has now landed herself in legal trouble on a 16 lakhs cheating case In an old 2018 fraud case, a bailable warrant has been issued against the actress, and reportedly the court has also summoned the actress. However, this happened after the actress failed to appear at a hearing in Moradabad court on July 19.
A Moradabad-based event organisation company filed a complaint against the actress for not attending the event even after taking a sum of 16 lakhs from them. With this, an FIR has been registered against her and her two associates under various sections of IPC. Reportedly the next hearing at the court is on August 20.
However, after none of the accused turned up at the court, the proceedings couldn’t lead further, and this forced the complainants to move further and approach Allahabad high court. As ETimes stated, the court has now ordered speedy trials in the case.
