The legendary actor Rishi Kapoor who was known as the Romantic Hero of his times passed away yesterday (30 April) at the age of 67.
The whole Nation and Bollywood fraternity has been mourning the loss and has not been able to come to terms with the sudden tragedy that has stunned the Kapoor clan.
By evening yesterday, a very depressing video of Rishi Kapoor confined on his bed in the ICU, probably in his last moments of life was doing the rounds!!
And today, the video of Rishi Kapoor’s painful last moments has gone viral.
Condemning this unruly act of capturing such a video, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), has protested and decided to take action against this wrong practice.
FWICE has sent out a legal notice to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, the hospital where Rishi Kapoor breathed his last and has demanded a reply for the same.
Here is the notice sent to them.
Says Ashoke Pandit, Chief Advisor of FWICE talking to IWMBuzz.com, “We have sent this notice just hours back to the hospital. This is not the first time that the last dying moments of a celebrity got captured at this hospital. It happened with Vinod Khannaji too. How can a staff of the hospital be allowed inside the ICU with his mobile? This is setting a really bad example, capturing celebrities this way before their sad demise. This is a dangerous and risky trend, and we will protest against the practice.”
“We are waiting for the hospital to respond to our notice. A criminal case should be taken up by the hospital against this person, whoever has taken this video. This is nothing but finding sadistic pleasure in seeing a person dying, and sending that to the whole world, making it viral,” he says.
“We are all as citizens going through a lot right now, and Mother Nature has punished us in a big way. In a way, we are all jailed at home, put under arrest owing to the pandemic spread. Even after all the suffering, our mentalities do not change. That’s a pity. There is no learning derived even after being put through so much. As regards the notice, let us see how the hospital deals with the reactions now.”
Certainly, an act not to be pardoned!!
